Training Courses
Trauma FX are providers of specialist simulation make-up courses and bespoke training packages. Our courses successfully demonstrate the recreation of injuries, from minor lacerations, bruising and silicone wounds, with active demonstrations and practical sessions by our specialist simulation make-up artists. Focusing on teaching students the necessary skills required to effectively recreate simulated injuries, while emphasising on safe practise and recreating medically and visually accurate trauma, through the study of previously simulated trauma and actual injuries.
Courses can be tailored to meet specific training needs and requirements students are not required to have any previous make-up or simulation experience and are offered to all ages and abilities.
Our training packages focus on the following aspects;
- Health and Safety; Application issues, allergies and product sensitivity.
- Simulation Products; Introduction to simulation products and maintenance issues.
- Case Studies; The study of real injuries and story boards.
- Simulation additions; Mannequin simulations.
The course also includes demonstrations and practical sessions;
- Introduction to basic simulations, shock, bruising and small lacerations.
- Simulation wax wounds, advantages and disadvantages, application and blood effects.
- Silicone application and manipulation to create large wounds, advantages and disadvantages.
- Superficial burns, flash burn effects and advanced blast burn simulation.
Simulation course packages include;
