Make-up Services

Trauma FX’s talented team produces simulation make-up effects that are robust and impressive while retaining medical accuracy, resulting in believable simulations. Our continued support to various medical units and the emergency services gives us a greater understanding of the visual and emotional effects of a casualty, combining this with the study of actual injuries, signs and symptoms along with using quality simulation products and techniques.

Trauma FX simulation make-up teams are highly trained professionals and are very proficient in stimulating many conditions and injuries;

  • Shock, sweating and bruising.
  • Blast and multiple fragmentation wounds.
  • Ballistic injuries and Gun Shot Wounds.
  • Blunt trauma and entrapment injuries.
  • Thermal Burns, Flash burns, full and partial thickness burns.
  • Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear signs and symptoms.
  • Traumatic amputations, with partial limb damage and catastrophic bleeding.
  • Thermal conditions and specific environmental illnesses.

Mass casualty training incidents and casualties with multiple injuries can be a considerable task to plan, organise and accomplish realistically. Trauma FX can offer teams of personnel to ensure that all the simulation requirements are organised and prepared and can assist and advise exercise planners on their simulation and casualty requirements.

Trauma FX understands it is vital that all simulated injuries and conditions are robust and will withstand the application of treatments, casualty handling and all uncontrollable environments.

The make-up gives us a level of realism that we can't replicate with any of our other training aids. We don't tell the people on exercise what we are going to do - so they don't know what to expect. It can be quite shocking, but it's better that people face trauma for the first time in the safe environment of an exercise than in theatre when it may be happening for real.
